Creative Learning

With over 25 years experience in facilitating creative learning I have a range of skills and expertise that adapt to a spectrum of settings and learner requirements. As Btec National Diploma course leader, and arts program leader I.V. for several years at Cirencester College and prior to that, Mathew Boulton College, Bournville College & UCE in Birmingham, I have devised and coordinated course content and written project work.

One of my favourite things to do with students is to take them out of the classroom, visiting galleries, working with other artists – encouraging them to look at the world around them. Observations, photographs, sketches and collaborative experiences nourished their creativity. I am a keen advocate of play in creativity – particularly with adult learners.

More recently, I have worked in a wide range of Community settings delivering workshops and facilitating projects to schools: Stroud High, Calne Primary School, Charfield Primary, Rodborough Community Primary, St Peter’s Primary and organisations: Allsorts, Whizz kids, Azeala Arts, Gloucestershire CC, Online wellbeing session for the GEM project and Supporting work at Wild Acres with Inspire Therapeutic Services.

I hold a BA (hons) in Fine Art, MA in Art Education, PGDIP, RSA Counselling Skills, Assessors Awards and have recently completed a CACHE Mental Health First Aid Certificate.
